Reading of the Declaration of Independence

Join the Enfield Historical Society for a stirring reading of the Declaration of Independence on the front porch of the building where it would have been read to the citizens on July 8, 1776! Fr. John Gwozdz, Delia Hickey, and Susan Bigelow will read the Declaration.

After the reading the Old Town Hall Museum will be open, and all are welcome to join us for refreshments and a special temporary exhibit of items, including photos, programs, and a beautiful quilt, from Enfield’s Bicentennial events in 1976!
