SUMMARY:Presentation: The History of the Wallop School
DESCRIPTION:After decades of only having one school building in town\, four additional one room schoolhouses were built in 1754\, including Wallop School. Our little red school was one of the last in the state to still be in use when it closed in 1947\, and is one of even fewer still preserved in schoolhouse form. Join the Historical Society’s Tara Hebert to learn about the school\, and what we can glean about its teachers\, pupils\, and various functions though time.
