Enfield’s African American Legacies

The stories of African Americans’ many contributions to Enfield’s history have been largely untold.  This changed when Enfield’s Ujima African American Alliance debuted an exhibit at the June 15, 2024 Juneteenth celebration on the Enfield Town Green.  Later that year the exhibit moved to the Enfield Historical Society’s Old Town Hall Museum.  The exhibit is reproduced below.

While you can view the panels in any order, you may want to begin with the first panel and scroll through them to follow the flow of history.

We hope that you will visit the exhibit in person at the Old Town Hall Museum.
